France calls for new international action to repel terrorism in Libya
Called
French Defense Minister Jean-Yves Odrian, on Wednesday, the
international community to "move" to prevent the establishment of a
"terrorist haven" in Libya, stressing that such a haven, "you should not
accept it."
To Odrian told the French soldiers stationed in N'Djamena during an
inspection visit on the occasion of the New Year holiday, "What is
happening in Libya in light of the political and security chaos is not
only the emission of a terrorist haven in the immediate surroundings of
the European continent."
He added that "the international community will commit a grave error if
they remained idle in front of a such a haven for terrorism at the
heart of the Mediterranean Sea. This is something you should not accept
it."
The French minister also stressed that "all parties have to move. You
must, to the extent possible, to find the Libyans themselves," and days
of the deadline set by the United Nations Mission in Libya to collect
the parties to the conflict in this country around the table of
negotiations and planned in the fifth by January
"But Libya's neighboring states the responsibility of the international
community is to stand to the side of the Libyans in order to find ways
to stabilize."
Furthermore, the Odrian stressed that "France will inevitably lead full
